GMT 16760, thoughts and feedback

Hi All,

In the hunt for a GMT, found this 16760 and looking for any openiosns and thoughts, specially with the dial/hands and movement, hence only attached dial and movement pics.

All thoughts on authenticity and other matters are appreciated.

Thanks

Dial doesn't look right. Never seen such long minute markers on a 16760 and the "Swiss" marking on the dial looks big. Assuming the rest is legit, perhaps a redone dial?

I'd urge you to compare it to photos of other examples online.

Dial looks fake, hands don't look good either.

Dial is 100% fake, hands are either relumed or fake as well. Stay away

How do you guys always find this tripe?
It’s a shit watch. You can always ask here for help, but if you have to ask then you should find a seller with which you are comfortable. Pay a little extra for the “service” they provide.
Stop trying to get a deal unless you are ok getting thumped along the way.

I understand what you mean but with that said sometimes really good deals out there and its worth checking in with more knowledgable people on the subject. I've seen countless threads where guys have pulled gems out of sketchy sales. Look at the guy that got the brand new GMT from a pawn shop for less $1000 cause they thought it was fake.

That's a super rare case. Almost never happens. Way too easy to check watches online now, whether it's about authenticity or pricing.

In the case of the OP's watch, it clearly looks suspect. A 30-second Google search of "16760 Rolex" pretty much shows all you need to know.

I'm wearing my 16760 right now...

The dial and hands are aftermarket on yours. The minute marks never touched the markers on the genuine dial. The hands are knock-offs too.

Countless? Haven't heard about very many, I think those are very rare cases...
