Worn pretty much nonstop since Friday. I think this honeymoon might last a while!

Also, I purchased a brown leather strap that should be arriving tomorrow. Iíll post an updated wrist shot with the new strap.

Seiko SPB121J1 2020 Green Alpinist

I really dig this watch on the new strap. It changes the entire aesthetic of the piece into something significantly more versatile and handsome.

Also, please excuse the dog hair on the rug.

easily done lol - you concentrate so much on not scratching the lugs you sort of forget which way to fit the strap - looks good and very different to the black one supplied

Just checked my warranty card and realized itís blank. Never bought a seiko before and Iím not sure how meaningful a blank card is, if at all. Itís a 725 dollar watch at the end of the day, so not that big of a deal, just not what i expected. Any thoughts? Potentially a problem?

Got it from Hodinkee and Iíve saved the receipt with the papers. I think theyíre an AD - at least i think they are for grand Seiko.

I would check your Hodinkee account on their site. All the paperwork should be backed up there including your warranty card, at least thatís the way it was when I bought my Oris from them. If itís not, just reach out to them, theyíve always been super responsive to me.

Theyíre definitely a Seiko AD as well and you should have an extra year of warranty on top of whatever Seikoís standard warranty is.
