Should Patek release a Nautilus /Aquanaut openworked?
Just a brainfart...
Saw a pic of an advanced research Aquanaut which got me thinking of the AP openworked, which in turn got me thinking of a possible Nautilus or Aquanaut openworked. Could be interesting? Yay or Nay? |

No, it will mess up the simplicity of the dial for the 5711, and it just wont fit with all the other complications of other models.
AP have great openworked models, Patek and Lange should just stick to open casebacks, and elegant dial in the front. |

ive always preferred AP openworked to Patek. So i probably would not be a buyer.

I have handled 5180R and 3878J at the London Salon. I also prefer AP openworked to Patek

Would I be a buyer? Probably not due to financial limitations.
Would I like to see it? Absolutely! |

I'm not a huge fan of OWs, I prefer an open caseback for that intimate view so I like a lady in the streets and a freak in the sheets.

Like anything depends on the execution. For some reason I think it would favor the aquanaut case better.

Depends how it's made, not a fan of Patek OW usually, a little too "feminine" for my taste, but if they make a more sporty one for the Nautilus I would love to get one, or hope as they woud probably do it in PM at 100k or more

I agree with some that an Aquanaut case would be best suited for this.
Also, I think many do not like the idea of an openworked Patek sports watch as somehow they appear more traditional vs AP? |
