what is up with the PAM90 ?

I had one, sold it about a year ago
I miss it and was thinking of getting another.

So I looked on ebay at completed sales - and the prices have gone DOWN !!! since I've looked last.

3 sales - $3,800, $4,100, and $4,600

Some listed for just over $5k (mint) can't sell.

has the 90 fallen out of favor?
a couple years ago they were selling for over MSRP (about $7k at the time)

Well it's certainly not the most popular reference.

It's a sellers market, people don't have the resources that was available 2-3 years ago. Just look at Rolex sales, it's pretty similar. Many of those SS Daytona sale prices are also down. Only a few years ago, they were selling for 2k over MSRP, now try reselling a BNIB SS Daytona, you would probably be down because of the sales tax loss, even if you sold it for what the retail price is.

Some feel the dial is to busy and the PR indicator clutters the dial. Be that as it may the 90 is a favored reference for me.

I have owned the 50 and 90

I personally like the minute markers on the 90 compared to the 104

honestly - there are lots of Panerai models over $10k that I LOVE. Just don't have the money for them.

So in my price range, the 90 is the run-away fav for me.

I do have to say - I was shopping at my Rolex AD last weekend. He also is the only Panerai AD in Michigan.
2 years ago he would have 1 or 2 40mm Panerai's in the case at anytime and couldn't get hold of a 90 for me.

Now his case is full of 44mm's and even offered me a discount on them.

times have changed!

I think its great, it would be better is a 1950 case with a sandwhich dial and an in house movement, but apart from that I really like it.

I really like my 90 but I must say that I miss the sandwich dial. Maybe should have looked a little more closely at the 312, but I wanted deployant buckle!! Decisions, decisions...

Are you smoking crack?

Show me the 3 sales around $3,000 to $4,000! YOu must be high I don't see any!

http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

Oh, I see you wrote "completed" sales. You can't go by that, they might have been older scratched up 90's! The currant ones are still high.

Watch your mouth - we tend to be more respectful around here.

But - in your language - are YOU smoking crack? COMPLETED sales are a true indicator of a fair market value. Whether it is scratched up or not, you can see on the pics, just as with the 'currant' () ones. You MUST be high. And not the good kind of high.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Genuine-PANERAI-...item5d27fe937f brand new one, went for $4600 from a respected seller.

http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-Panerai-Lum...item2305a9b329 decent shape, $4700

http://cgi.ebay.com/Panerai-PAM-90-K...item4cedde31d2 K-serial in good shape, $4100

Stick around, learn some manners and maybe you'll pick up on something!

Yeah - actually forgot to say - the 90 is a beauty. Love that PR indicator - dial not busy at all, IMO.

Well Exuse me!

Didn't mean to offend anyone. Just don't see any 90's going for cheap. And the links you posted don't work when I click on them.

Come on, don't make common sense so uncommon. 'Are you smoking crack' is no way to address a man you don't know. Unless he said something about your momma, of course.

the worked on my computer machine, me wifey's, and me iphone. Even my lil' one's etch-a-sketch pulled them up... But if you must be difficult, copy and paste the following auction numbers into an ebay search, and there you shall find your answer!

400102953855
150418862889
330408276434

There's your three sales. This one is free, for the next one I'm chargin'.

Money and credit is tight as...and in the next few months Europe will be come even more favorable on letting the PAM treasures they hold sell cheap. Some unfavorable PAM's are going down in price but the older discontinued and vintage models are the ones holding the price. Like the 093, it is still holding it's own price wise. As well I am thinking about picking another 004b (I have 1 already) and have confirmed delivery of 09b and a 28b in 3 or 4 weeks out of Italy because when the prices do come back they will roar.

In the UK the 90 and the 312 are about the same price. I started wanting the 90 but once I had tried both on the 312 got my vote due to the simplicity of the face and the 1950 case.

I saw one at AD a few years back...I think the dial is too busy. Maybe if it was bigger like 47mm.
