GSOTM vs Panomaticlunar

Which would you all pick and why?

Totally different watch styles. What exactly are you after? Features, how the watch looks, brand, casual / business / sport use?

Yeah I’ve owned the Panomaticlunar, and currently own the GSOTM but feel like the Panomaticlunar is calling me again.

GO. Don't buy into the Speedmaster hype. These watches are apart on so many levels with GO taking the prize.

They're very different watches but between the two I prefer the Panomatic Lunar, which is my favorite GO.

Depends on whether I need a dress watch or a chronograph

Thanks for the feedback. I really like both - I feel like a big atttaction to the GSOTM is it’s scratch proof case. The GO on the other hand is a stunning watch.

Here is a question - would it be worth selling my SBGA105 Grand Seiko limited edition to pick up the GO so I have both? Current have the GSOTM.

HAve a GS snowflake currently so would still have a GS spring drive in the collection.

Downside is that if I ever miss this 105 it would be hard to track down again. Limited edition of 300 I think.

That's a very nice GS. But if you already have the novelty of Spring Drive (and a unique textured dial) in your Snowflake, I can imagine selling the 105 to get the Panomatic Lunar.

But that GO is well ahead of the Speedmaster IMHO (notwithstanding, a very different style). From both the front and rear it's a work of art. So, buy the GO.

It seems the question then is, do you sell the 105 to allow you to get the Speedy as well as the GO, or just get the GO. Because you should definitely get the GO.

I guess the answer to that depends on whether you - or your collection, which by then already has a classy GO and a spring drive Snowflake and who knows what else - needs another somewhat dressy GS or something more sporty and scratchproof like that Speedmaster. As an aside, nice though the GSOTM is, I might hold the 105 while saving up for a Daytona. The GSOTM on paper has a pretty big case size, though I hear it still works OK on 'normal' size wrists, but would need to spend time trying one up close for myself.

Pano, in that dial color is best too, blue didn't sing to me strangely.

For me, one Spring Drive would be enough.
