I think the 42mm looks perfect on your wrist. I have a slightly huge wrist, and tried the 42mm Big Bang Unico, they fit relatively better than the 45mm counterpart, just nice, not overly chunky, The clasp is definitely much more comfortable than the 45mm one.

what are the movements like on hublot? My impression is you're buying them more for the look. I stayed away for now just because I don't know that much about them & haven't tried any on.

Hublot has been using their in house Unico movement since 2013 and it has some innovative features and variations.

Also, take note that the Spirit of Big Bang (SoBB) houses the caliber HUB4700, which is a reworked and skeletonised version of the famous El Primero chronograph movement from Zenith, Hublot’s sister brand within LVMH. Good stuff here! And the SoBB is a super cool reference

Hate is a strong word. I just don't take it seriously.

Others do - and good for them.

The SOBB is just so clean. The Black Magic IMO is just a fantastic piece.

The Black Magic is a cool piece. This one got me warm and fuzzy:

I probably wouldn't buy one just because my small wrist doesn't lend it self to their size/designs that I like, but I love them for their innovation on case materials and pushing the envelope. I can see how they wouldn't appeal to the more conservative taste, but I think thats what they want.

Not a fan because these screws are not aligned. I'm not OCD, but that just makes be crazy.

Just bought the LE Classic Fusion Titanium Wild. I was looking for a black casual watch and thought it looked cool.

Hublot acquired the well regarded movement specialist BNB Concept in 2010, so they now have great watchmaking in house. The current Big Bang line has the in house Unico flyback chrono movement which is generally considered to be an interesting movement with cool features like having the column wheel on the dial side.

They also have some wild and crazy in house movements like a bi-axis tourbillon and a movement with 14(!) mainspring barrels and 50 days power reserve that uses a power drill to wind!

Their entry level Classic Fusion pieces mostly have Selitta movements which they get flak for sometimes but some pieces like the Ultra-Thin Skeleton have in-house movements.

That’d be the MP-05 LaFerrari.

If I try it on a second time, it’s going home.
