Arnold & Son

Any Arnold & Son owners on this forum?

Managed to have an appointment with the COO during Baselworld, where he showcased the entire collection, and I am seriously contemplating getting one.

Really like the finishing, and the fact that they are under the radar. My biggest concerns are resell (would buy 2nd hand) and servicing costs as I have no clue what they are...

Don't have one, but fascinated by the CTB with dead beat seconds and sweeping chrono hand. But yea, same concerns you had. Also the 44mm case was a bit of a turnoff for me.

They are stunning watches. Don't be turned off by the size. Even there 45mm watches sit very well on the wrist.

Personally, I am contemplating the DBTS blue face in SS, it's a stunner.

I think they are an underrated brand. I like many of their watches and have come close to buying a few times. We have a dealer close by and I have seen many in person

They don't have any real connection to the original Arnold & Sons, though, do they? Just started using the name in the 1990s, so no real heritage there, as far as I know. And owned by Citizen these days.

No direct line to A&S from the 1700s, but created by La Joux Perret, like Graham, and Angelus (recently), who have been under Citizen Group ownership since 2011.

Just ordered a A&S Perpetual Moon. I'll update once it lands.

Well done for following a path very few dare to tread…
Great looking watch whether it’s with the black or blue dial.

Thank you sir. Black dial. I am very happy with it. I am finally building a small collection and this by far has the best finishing I own. I have it on a small and thin strap from the manufacturer so there is no overhang. I am looking forward to dressing the watch down and wearing it with a t-shirt soon. The rhodium moon really reflects light through many different facets.

I appreciate the new regime building watches to the original Arnold & Son standard. Having funding from Citizen is a nice assurance that they will continue to build watches such as this. Cheers!
