Datejust 1601 flawed dial? + datewheel

Hello everyone! I’m a watch enthusiast who recently got into vintage Rolexes.

1. I got a 1601 which has what I assume is a misprint. The “PE” in Perpetual are touching where there is usually a space between them. My watchmaker confirmed that it’s an authentic Rolex dial and suggested that it’s a flaw or has been partially refinished.

2. I had a crystal swap done on this watch with a crystal that I received from a previous 1601/3 that had a damaged crystal. The crystal is aftermarket and distorts the date. A few individuals have reached out to me saying that they think that the date wheel is aftermarket but I think it’s because of the Aftermarket crystal. I attached pics below of before and after the crystal swap. (Only first 2 picture are with the original crystal)
