Rolex 2508: redial or not

Some background: somebody posted a pic of a Rolex 2508 on insta (https://www.instagram.com/p/B0-R9cVHrSM/). I commented on this that is (at least) a redial. OP stated that it must be legit because it was auctioned and posted a pic of the auction catalogue:

OP is still not convinced. IMHO redial because of:
- Fonts
- Poor printing (especially 4 & 10 which touches subdials)
- (Perhaps) lack of coronet on dial

The fact that is was sold by one of the big houses add not much imho...

So: anyone an opinion whether this was an original Rolex dial or not?

Obviously a difficult matter since this is really an argument that belongs on Instagram where the discussion is taking place.

And over there a better picture exists.

The whole thing is odd.

Especially the strange wear on the dial along the edge running from 12-6 o’clock has the minute marks and numerals along them rubbed off.

The minute hand couldn’t have done that and still clear the subdial hands at 3 o’clock.

And apparently the OP over there on IG agreed with Eric yesterday too.
