FS Rolex 1601 DateJust
For Sale: 1972 Rolex DateJust stainless/gold 1601 with 2013 service paper
Dial: Excellent and unique copper Sigma dial with yellow gold markers. The Sigma dial is uncommon and a bit of a mystery. There are many opinions on why and for how long Rolex dials were marked with the greek sigma symbol. Some say dial manufacturers (i.e. Singer) marked dials with the sigma signal to denote they had gold (white or yellow) markers and hands. Sigma dials are seen on Daytonas, Day Dates and DJs with serial #s from the very late 60s thru very early 70s, and not seen on sport models as they did not have applied markers. More opinions out there - have fun researching. Case: 36mm, 3.5 mil, excellent stainless case with crisp 14k yellow gold bezel. Accessories: serviced in 2013, service papers and Bulang Diablo vintage leather strap included. Winds smooth, keeps great time. $2,250 Please call (214) 676-9659 or pm me with questions. Many References upon request. Thank you, Russ Wyatt |
