Incoming - an underrated one!

Here it is! The original D-serial offshore from 1995, the one that started it all. Created for the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak, the Offshore or “The Beast”, is a magnificent manifestation of 90s AP craziness. In my opinion, it represents the sports DNA of AP much more than the RO ever did. The proportions are perfect here at 42mm, with the dark blue grand-tappissierrie and the stark white chronograph hands. The perfect everyday sports watch - who needs a Rolex?

On another note, I’d really like to get this on a rubber strap for better wearability. I know I’m going to need plots and a strap. What’s the best way to go about this? I can’t find anyone selling a conversion kit with plots.

OP a friend of mine recently bought this exact watch from AP Hoyse in London and they sorted out the rubber strap and everything needed. I think it was £600 or £800, something like that.

Awesome! It's 25yr anniversary offspring says hi!. The strap may be more comfortable, but bracelet adds to the in-your-face chunky goodness of the Beast. Best dial of all ROOs, IMO.

They did such a good job with the 25 year piece. One of their best tributes. Congrats on that!

Given that the watch is 27-years old, there is surely some fading. These dials often develop patina, transforming to this amazing golden brown color. This one is in pretty good shape but you can see hints of that fading

Very nice!
I recently bought an E serial 25770ST and found plenty of leather strap options from AP Bands.
My blue alligator just arrived and now ordered a sharkskin, good choice for all the older ROO models

Congratulations! I got the new one earlier this year. Heading to the boutique this weekend and will be looking for a rubber strap as well.

Let me know how that goes - especially if they sell plots.

A mouth watering time at the boutique today. I did not indulge myself for a rubber strap for the beast. More so since I have the Diver and the titanium Offshore. I was tempted but I held off after comparing the collection together. The bracelet on the "Beast" is quintessential for that watch.

But I did ask for you. Yes, you can by the plots, strap and clasp from them. The cost is in the $1400 range. I did not specifically ask the availability as every boutique inventory is different. If they don't have what you need it can be ordered though.

Love this piece. Seems such an all rounder and ticks many boxes for the AP devotee

It truly does, I am usually a 36-39mm person but this one is an exception to that rule!
