Service Advice
Hello all, if this is redundant question I apologize.
I am in need of service for my Submariner and am considering A and S service out of Gainsville. They say they use Rolex parts, polish the case/band, and pressure test which seems to be a standard of good repair (my opinion after browsing this site prior to registering). Any experience with this company would be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance. Heres the web site for reference: www.as-services.com |

Welcome to TRF, meenkya. Glad you found us.
I can't help you with A&S, but my question is: Why not send it to an RSC and let them do the service for you? You know you'll get it done right from one of them. There's one in New York, Dallas, and San Fransisco (I think that's where the California shop is).

Myself cannot help you, just checked the site,they seem to have all the correct tools servicing oils etc.But myself would use RSC, although I have, and use a independent watchmaker.He is also a personal friend and would trust him with any watch repair.But IMO there are only one company to polish a watch and bracelet to look like new and thats Rolex themselves.

 As the guys say, your best shot is with the RSC. That way you'll know the job's been done right, with the right parts and by people who stand behind their 1-year warranty. Pressure testing, sadly, is no measure of standard or quality. Over here in Melbourne, WatchWorks is a chain that offers pressure testing, and speaking from bitter experience, they're guaranteed watch killers. After they were done with my old Seiko, it took me a year and a half to find someone who had the parts and experience to do the job right and clean up the mess WatchWorks created.

like the others, rsc is the only one that touches my watches....i dont even take them back to my ad for ANYTHING.

Welcome to the watch freak family.I would prefer a RSC, as you the official service papers, excellent service with genuine parts, fantastic case & bracelet polish. Bottom line you get your watch back as if brand new.

I'll echo what others have said. Unless you have a vintage piece where the value of the watch would be impacted by a dial or hands change RSC is your best bet.
