The most sought after Cartier watches

Which pieces are the most difficult to get?

I hate that kind of questions but in this case I simply don’t know
Yes the crash is an answer but I don’t like that overhyped watch.

I asked myself the question because a couple of days ago someone asked about the possible discounts in Cartier.
I was amazed reading the answers…. Most of them said it’s almost impossible to get discounts. And you should be happy with 5%

All I can say is that I bought a blue santos a couple of weeks ago and did get a nice discount.
Now you can tell me that’s not a sought after watch, I don’t care :-) …. Bought it because I liked it.

So what are the more difficult to get pieces that can’t be bought with a discount?

Um I don’t believe it’s really that difficult to get a Cartier at a discount. While the Santos and Tank are significant, they are still mostly viewed as jewlelryesque pieces. So historically, their values plummet on the secondary and paying close to retail is a bad move. That said, I really dig the Santos and will add it to my stash at sone point

Try to get your hands on any of the new limited editions released at W&W. These are special ones and I wager a person won’t be able to get one let alone a discount.

I'm not sure about most sought after, but the classics like the Tank dating back to late 1900's, will always be appreciated amoung WIS.

I bought my nieces matching Tanks as a gift a few years back. They both are into fashion and design and they wanted a "good watch".

I wanted their first watch buying experience to be memorable, and I wanted their names on the paperwork so buying at the boutique was my preference. No discount but worth any savings IMHO

I think the hottest Cartier watches at the moment are last years Red Text Arabic dial Santos Dumont, this years new Tank Chinoise Skeleton, and maybe the Platinum blue dial Santos Dumont. The elusive SolarBeat is a winner as well, and cheap as chips.
As for a discount, I don’t think you can get one at a boutique, but an AD is a different story.

Am I the only one who loves the cartier crash?

I have had a Santos for a few years now, never any issues but nothing that ever excited me.

On the lower end of the spectrum, I tried to get a Must De Cartier tank with the red dial but couldn't find it anywhere so I ended up going grey.
