You’re on the right side of borderline.

In other words, it fits. If your arms were a bit skinnier - too big. A 36 would have been perfect too.

Right to question, however, as many people select a size too large for their thin arms.

It looks great - 41mm is a handsome, modern size.

Don’t overthink your purchase; it only dampens your enjoyment.

I went through the same thing and went with the 41mm. I’ve tried both sizes and liked them both. The 41mm looks much sportier and fits my lifestyle better. I might still add a fluted jubilee 36mm later on but the smaller size makes it definitely much dressier.

The DJ is such a great watch. You appear to have very slim forearms and wrists so I do think a 36mm would look great on you as well and especially when paired with a suit but this is by no means oversized.

Given you went with the oyster bracelet I think that was a good decision as it makes it a bit more casual and therefore the larger size makes more sense. If you went jubilee, I do think a 36mm would have been the way to go.

I think that fits your wrist very well, personally I think a 36mm would look too small on you

First Rolex (DJ41) Help

Looks great. I have a 41 and was sort of surprised how small it wore compared to my Submariner and Seamaster. I’d have some serious buyers remorse if I got a 36 instead.

If you think it's a good fit, it is. If you think it isn't, it isn't. If you have a doubt, it probably isn't. Nobody but you can make that call.

You made the right selection. Looks great on your wrist and is a classic model in the line-up.

It looks great IMO. Plus you’ve definitely got a solid config there, I do like the fluted and oyster combo for a DJ.

May just be the pictures but I think one thing that could be working against you is that the bracelet looks a little loose. Maybe try having the bracelet resized for a closer fit.

My goodness...I can think of no better way to prolong your journey in the rabbit hole than asking the internet for its opinion.

You know you made the right decision if you thought the 36 was too small. So, relax and enjoy. Looks great, btw.

Absolutely not too big. Looks great on you. The left image in the polo is the best representation of what it actually looks like on you, and it fits just fine. No need to second guess. I have the same watch by the way on jubilee. Excellent choice!

Yes, as I’m sure you know can adjust it half link smaller. Feels too tight especially if it’s hot out. But you’re right looks better not loose.

Despite what some Radical Wristwatch Militants might say, there's really no "right" or "wrong" answers here. I started my journey with a 39mm Explorer and loved that watch, dearly. I have since started to come around to the smaller case sizes and sold the Explorer in favor of a silver dial DJ 36 with fluted and on jubilee. I now love that watch, dearly. Your tastes will likely shift over time as you explore more watches and that's the fun of this whole thing. I will point out if you love the slate dial then 41 is your only option...it's not currently offered in the 36 case size. I wish it was.

If it makes you feel any better, it is probably not 41mm. I had a Wimbledon DJ 40mm and always felt it wore small, I was right, it was not 40mm
