Been using Dawn for years, never has it left any sort of residue. If it did I would certainly taste soap on my pots, pans and hand washed kitchen items. Now bodywash and shampoo will certainly leave a film as they contain ingredients that soften the skin and condition hair. Dawn was even used on wildlife (birds) after oil spills in the gulf. It must be pretty good.

A drop or two of dish soap plus windex diluted in warm water. Many many many experienced watchmakers use this in their ultra sonic machine.
Rinse to excess and all is fine. |

A tiny bit of liquid soap and some gentle scrubbing with the wife's toothbrush does the job just fine.

I rinse under the sink then use hand soap to work in the bracelet and the case. Rinse and pat dry with a microfiber cloth. Only wash when I've been sweating.

Would you have any concerns about a toothbrush scratching the gold pcl's and polished surfaces on your WG Sub?
