The call from AD

Hello everyone i will like to know what you were doing the day that you received the phone call from their local AD about them receiving the SS daytona or GV Milgauss and you were next in line. And also your reaction, were you with someone, alone at work etc...?

For the SS daytona, both times I was just home. For the GV, I actually went it just to stop by and they said, wait here. I was like okay...then she brought out a watch with a sticky note with my name on it. It ws the 1st GV they recieved and they were gonna call me that night but I beat them to it. =D

I got a call at work on my cell. My AD asked me if I had ordered a black or white face SS Daytona.

I said I ordered the one that came in......I'll be right over.

I received the call while at work, walking my casino floor, solo. Almost didn't take the call actually, as I was "this" close to engaging in conversation with a long winded colleague.

I was waiting on my Daytona and had just called them to remind them. I left to go to a Lowes about 20 miles from home. Unfortunately, I drove my SVT Contour instead of the four-wheel drive pickup. While I was in Lowes the cell phone rang with the call that the watch had just been unpacked in the morning shipment. They promised to hold it but I was afraid to take the chance. It had started to snow like he** while I was in the store but I took off for the AD some 40 miles in the other direction. By the time I slipped all over the road for an hour or two I was pretty frazzelled. But it was worth it!

I was sitting on my couch in my underwear with the elastic band ripped out eating a bowl of cheese doodles in between trying to adjust the rabbit ear antennae on my black and white TV.

I was at home. When the call came in and 10 AM, the moment my AD opened I rushed down there by 10:30 and picked up my brand new pre price increase ($7900) White Dial SS Daytona. Love it!

I walked in to buy a TT datejust when my sales man asked me if i was interested in purchasing a SS Daytona. Hell yes, I thought he was kidding, he then left and came back and showed me the watch. He told me there was one catch. I was second in line and the person that he had contacted before me had not come by to pick up the watch. He then told me that if he did not show up by the next day the watch was mines. The next day i called in and bought the watch.
