Had a black coated Citizen when I was 16 or so. That is what all the PVD watches look like to me, now.

Not the PVD or DLC, but if they did a full black ceramic Sub or GMT, I would be interested. I saw a Blacked Out Milguass GV years ago, and It looked great. Unfortunately, we all know what the future holds for the finish over time.
