How did bluesy get its name?

I tried searching the www, but the closest I think I found was a user on here by the name of JJ who coined the term.

That is correct. That and “Platty".

It was known as 'the blue sub' for many years, an elegant name for an elegant watch.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, as far as nicknames go.

I would prefer the SubLV to be called a Greensy because that model surely has a properly childish/cringe worthy nickname!

Oh yeah, and I kinda like the name Blusey.

JJ Irani was loved on this board but his untimely passing cemented him as a TRF legend! He was also a big YM fan.

JJ coined this, it’s a good name, the nicknames are useful and sometimes funny. The only nickname that might bother me is Batgirl. If I owned one and told another WIS what I had, they would know immediately.

JJ was an awesome guy!
