As promised, here are the rubber options: blue, black and brown. I use blue and black the most.

For those who have owned both Overseas and RO, Nautilus, etc., how do you feel the quality compares overall? Setting aside purely objective things, do you feel that the case/movement finishing, build quality, dial quality, etc. is particularly higher on one vs. the other?

I have the nautilus, royal oak and overseas. The nautilus is dress sport and the other two are more sport dress if that makes any sense. Look you can’t go wrong with any of them. In my opinion, the royal oak and its bracelet make it the most flashy. The bracelet is a work of art. The nautilus feels delicate but very refined. It’s understated and most people (those not in our crazy hobby) won’t know what you are wearing. The overseas is the only one that I feel comfortable doing everything with - swimming, working out, etc. The quick strap feature allows me to change things up too which I love. But once again, all 3 pieces are great and have their own merits. I think the finishing between the nautilus and overseas are comparable.

Thanks for the reply! Would love to see an Overseas in person but they're all sold out near me :(

Are the sizes of the rubber straps different per watch? My dealer told me i can't purchase a white rubber strap for my chrono because it won't fit...

They might be pushing me to just make a custom leather one but it'll take me 6 months and they have still not given me a price..

I mean the Chrono is 42.5mm rather than the three hander/DT 41mm, so there likely are different sizes. Possibly they don't make every color for any size, a bit odd though

On that note, I've been told they don't have as wide a selection for the XS rubber strap (only the standard blue, black and brown).

Weird. I emailed VC and asked about strap colors for my 5500V and was told the white was an option. Try contacting an official boutique?

I am really interested in the overseas as my next non-rolex piece. My primary concern that is holding me back is the size. I have never been able to see one in the flesh or try it on yet. I have a 7in wrist. I love the dual time dial the best but it appears much larger in photos than the 4500. Does anyone have both or have a photo of both on the same wrist?

I have a 6.2 wrist and it's no problem at all. To me, if anything the 4500v seemed/felt bigger, because it's flatter and the dial is empty (still gorgeous and if I could splurge I'd add a blue). I bought the black Dual Time. Lug to lug is like a Sub or so (49mm) ...

My boutique tells me the only white rubber strap available is the one for the perpetual which is thinner. I have one on order and should get it next week. I'll post some pics.

I have a pic showing the comparison but I can't seem to attach it as I have less than 10 post.

From my experience, the dual time looks smaller.

I had a thread on this when I was getting mine. 6.3/6.5 wrists. Lots of pictures while trying them on including the larger Tourbillon so might give you a decent idea. I don’t think wrist size will be any issue for you. Any overseas is a delight

I've been eyeing these.

I'm most interested in the tourb, but I want to be sure I like the dial and size before committing that much $ to the brand. I've never owned a VC before, and I'm debating just grabbing the regular blue dial to see what I think for the time being.

Anyone have any idea on accessibility/discount on the blue self-winding tourb? I have a line on the regular blue already.

Thanks!

Just went through all 623 posts lol! Going in the blue 3-hander was my favorite but after finishing this thread I'm in love with the black dual time!

I have lots of watches...I'm wearing the OS Tourb now...as I do at least 3 days a week...it just keeps getting wrist time...comfy, easy to read, so easy to change straps, really good looking as well and sturdy...it's terrific.

I also bought the brown and black rubber too. I feel comfortable working out with it and swimming with it.

My wrist is 17.5cm for point of reference.

Anyways, off to Texas it goes for service/regulation (couldn’t live with -20s/d). Was told a 6-8 week wait. Oh well, picked up a Grand Seiko quartz GMT as a consolation prize lol. It would take a minimum of 2 years before my new GS would lose as much as my VC is losing every single day haha.
Quick update on this for those interested in current US (Texas) service center turnaround times for warranty work. Dropped mine off at the AD for warranty service on August 7, picked it back up yesterday (August 27) in perfect working order. My service basically involved complete disassembly, cleaning, and re-lubing. A little less than 3 weeks total turnaround time, door-to-door. Not bad at all, especially given the current environment.
