VC Overseas 4500v blue discount? Waitlist?

Hi all,

Thinking about buying the VC Overseas Blue Dial 4500v—and was wondering if it is possible to get a discount? From looking at various sellers, it looks like it might be over retail, but I can’t tell.

Also, what is availability like? Is this a waitlist piece? Boutique only? Thanks!!

I believe there is a waitlist. Definitely a no on the discount. I’d be more worried about getting offered one at MSRP.

The only reason this might even run at or over MSRP is because production was cut during the pandemic lockdowns.

Wait 6+ months.

I paid retail for mine in the U.K. a few days before the price increased from £17,000 to £19,000 so was quite pleased. Had I bought one a year ago large discounts were widely available On this watch but it’s quality is now in demand. I think VC are getting the recognition they deserve.

No discount. Boutique can order with a wait, but there are no weird games. Ask and you will receive.

Waitlists , over MSRP, low supply/high demand is NOT normal for watches like this, a GREAT watch by the way. If you haven't noticed the trend by now it's a BAD time to buy a watch, it cant and wont stay this way forever, so play at your own risk. If you need to have it now pay the full retail and enjoy the piece, it shouldn't be too hard to source. I could have had it in the low 10s not too long ago so that is enough of a discrepancy for me to lay low and wait and see what the future brings. It also tells me I personally wont pay much more than that. Sad it has to be this way but for me personally I don't like to spend more for having something now.

Well said. People forgot that watches are not food or life saving drugs.

Hmm I just tried to get one from my AD, they asked me for $1k deposit and told can’t guarantee a delivery date, they are fully allocated for this year and the wait would be well into 2021. Is this normal or should I try another AD?

Was in Paris last week at the boutique.

They had one in stock, no discount. They were able to add a few extra straps and travel pouch.

To add, call the concierge. He will tell you where it is in stock.
Alternatively, he can order on demand via their e-commerce branche.

I found my black 4500v in late dec '19 with an unexpected discount. At the time, (pre-covid) ADs were quoting a 3/4 mos wait. I also heard the wht/silv dial may be discontinued as the brown was but not confirmed afaik. ?
