My first Patek!

Found a good example of a watch I have been dreaming about for the past several years. 3940J, yellow gold. I’m a big fan of the design aesthetics of this watch and not to mention simply awestruck by the sheer slimness of the case that houses a perpetual calendar complication!!!

I was afraid the 36mm case might wear small on my wrist but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on at how well it sits on the wrist (crocodile leather strap is brand new so it was a bit stiff). Interestingly the winder that comes with the box looks like it survived a nuclear explosion, absolutely tattered. I understand that this is common for Patek winders from the 90s / early 2000s.

Regardless, I couldn’t be more excited to acquire my first Patek, my first grand complication and my first perpetual calendar in a few days. Here are some photos!
