Adding a Super Jubilee

Hi friends,

I have a lovely blue dial Datejust 116234 and was thinking about buying a super jubilee 63600 so I can alternate between the two. I can source one for about €1,600 ($1,750).

My questions:
- is it worth it?
- how is the hidden clasp on the super jubilee?

Cheers

My questions:
- is it worth it?
ANSWER: At $1750, yes! Seems pretty cheap at that price. most are asking over $2K.

- how is the hidden clasp on the super jubilee?
ANSWER: It's solid, and adds a smooth look to the watch.

You'll have fun swapping it. I got a custom WG President Bracelet made in HK for my DJII, I'm always swapping them out.

Can we see some pics of your DJ2 set up? Why go for WG on a SS case?

And yes, the 63600 is a really nice bracelet. If you own a 116234, rolex service center will probably sell you the correct bracelet for your watch BTW. Retail is around $1600, and it will be brand new.

The Datejust 116234 has lug to lug spacing of 21mm and the Superjubilee 63600 is 20mm wide. It won't fit. You have to buy the proper jubilee bracelet for the watch. Your AD can sell it for a similar price to the Superjubilee you have your eye on.

The 116234 is the 36mm model with a 20mm lug spacing.

Thanks! Would they just sell me one? I've heard that they're really restrictive when it comes to handing out parts.

Isn't that the 116334 then?

As far as I know
116234, 36mm case, 20mm lugs
116334, 41mm case, 21mm lugs

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

A Rolex 116234 is a 36mm DJ with a 20mm lug width. It’s offered on either a polished center link oyster bracelet, or 63600 super jubilee bracelet.

You might be thinking of a 126234 DJ41 which does have a 21mm lug width.

Yes, of course it's worth it at this price.

Ah, thought it was the 41mm DJ. Sorry to mislead.

I’m a little confused. What is a super jubilee? Can we see some pics and how it differs from a standard jubilee?

I don't get it, it's yellow gold? Or looks yellow, but is white?

I love the design of the president bracelet. I think it looks and would look great on several models!

Is the lighting just making the whole watch and bracelet look gold though? Also, aftermarket bezel?
