I'm thinking of getting a pre-owned 118238 Champagne dial but want to wait and see if Rolex comes out with anything interesting this month or whenever they show new releases.

Sure is, a fantastic piece. Not too fond of the black dial they put on the newer steel ones, but the initial steel version with the silver dial is fantastic, not to mention the one in rose gold.

I’m set for a while. I’m looking forward to the next iteration of the Submariner, whenever it gets released

I’d like a Cellini date. Everose gold.

If anything, this whole thing has caused me to not want anything, maybe even less. Being stuck at home has caused me to reevaluate a bit.

For me a DD. If the wife wants and Explorer or Daytona, I would probably spring for it.

These pieces have been pretty stable. In fact most gold pieces have not moved THAT much bar some few models. (Green dial Daytona/Rhodium SkyD) etc..

The watches that will take the biggest hit are the hyped ones BLNR, Hulk, BLRO - pretty much mostly the SS models selling above MSRP.

Gold ones are always pretty much the same all the time.

Nothing.

I have only one watch, I wear it and live my life. Having more watches would lessen my appreciation and enjoyment.

I see. I haven’t been following the PM prices for that long to be that knowledgeable on how they trend. I was of the mindset that if they couldn’t move at 29-35k range when the economy is booming, 401ks are through the roof, and everybody and their mother had 2 rolexes at a premium what makes one think they are going to move in a recession with the hype train gone?

For example- there’s trusted grey dealer here on TRF that’s been bumping the same DD40 white gold blue dial since December. I’m pretty sure he’s also been bumping the same YG Champagne dial.
