The main Grey dealers on here don’t seem to be dropping prices and even if they did a few of them would still be higher than other ‘Trusted Sellers’ on here that are just as trusted. I’m not paying extra for a watch just because a guy has a fancy website and drives a Ferrari and eats $500 meals several times a week when someone just as trusted has the same watch cheaper.

It’s started ... trusted seller offering $500 discount

So is there an actual reason that it doesn’t fall within antitrust law violations? I mean if they are actually talking to each other to keep prices propped up.

Is it because they are resellers and not AD?

Just look up Price Fixing on ftc.gov, as said before, I think they are smarter than doing that (and documenting in chats). Plus it is not really needed, or would any of you guys have listed a BNIB Daytona for 16k in February? The good old supply and demand

Regardless of how sales are over the next few months, we have to remember that Rolex production is also shuttered at the moment, so no new units. Prices will fall in coming months true, but once this mess is over, demand will spike..... that plus no inventory will mean Meteoric prices.

Nah. Demand is gone. Meteoric prices are over. RIP

I am by no means an expert, as I am relatively new to Rolex, but by looking at the amount of people who seem to be waiting to buy at MSRP, I don't think these watches are going to go down to that level. IMO

I'd buy a 114060 at about five hundred bucks below MSRP. Not a dime more though. Every situation is different.

Couldn’t agree more. To me the flaunting on instagram is off putting. Get a lowball offer then couple hours later see the ferrarri, opus one, etc. sort of makes me root against some of these guys.

Re-ran my search this morning, and there are now about 80 with a few priced around $14,500.

I realize this is somewhat anecdotal and imprecise, but I'd say that is a fairly precipitous inventory spike / price-drop for just one day.

Don’t cost nothing to be on a waitlist. I am of the opinion the AD calls are going out to a lot of people who are passing.

That's because they always find someone stupid enough to pay the price and what is the best place to find one ? Right here on TRF..

Go to any other shops and you will save a lot of money already.

10 million people already unemployed in the US in just 2 weeks and more coming

Think of the repercussion holistically

Obviously some still have a vision that a hero rich guy coming on a white horse will clean up all the Rolex SS stocks from Greys in times of despair

Oh yes, what a vision

They have. In 2 months David SW has dropped his price for a “new” 126710BLNR by $2k. Prices for BLNRs have come down to sub $13k in the last few weeks. They were up to as high as 15-16k in January.

I know this because I’ve been tracking prices of them.

Prices are dropping now as no one is buying.
The prices will go below MSRP in few months from now.
Even for the much sought after Patek and Rolex.
This crisis will be as bad as 1929, forget 2008 or 1987.

I really hope you are wrong, but there is a serious chance this will be as bad as 1929.

P.S 1987 wasn't that bad, it was a short lived shock. This won't be short term.

Agree, and I've been tracking Hulk prices which generally tell the same story. The only wrinkle is that in '87 and '08, the Rolex plants didn't suspend operations. So it will be interesting to see how much this reduction in supply counters, if at all, the falling demand.

Would love to hear an opinion or two from some of our members who are more learned in this field of economics.

His prices are still higher than many others that are just as 'trusted' on here.

Rolex has stopped production......er but so has the rest of manufacturing output, which is rather more significant in terms of Rolex's demand moving forward.

Just saw someone from IMF on TV stating this is gonna be way worst than 2008.
Didn't catch the full clip but her tone was extremely foreboding.

Seriously,
This is the Spanish flu and the great depression smacking us at the same time. God bless us if we get a brutal hurricane this summer.

Most anti trust violators get away with it until they’re challenged and held to account. Happens all the time in civil judgments.
