1983 16750 - bezel authenticity?

Hello,

I'm currently on the lookout for a matte dial 16750.
I thought I had found a solid example, but the bezel seems period incorrect (16750 60's style?) and I have some reservations about it being an original Rolex piece. I'm not an expert on the matter, so wanted to present it to the experts of this forum.

The color and oval 8s are what make me think this isn't fitting an 80s 16570. The smudges 22s are what make me a bit concerned about originality.
Am I being paranoid or do I have a point?

Would appreciate any advice.

Appreciate the response. Any more details you're willing to share on how you're coming to that conclusion (PM is welcome, if you're not willing to do so on the forum)?

I just checked and these inserts are all over eBay, coming from Vietnam. With a little aging, they will fool some people who are just looking for hooked 2s.

Hahahaha, sorry for having you duplicate these posts. Appreciate it.
After pressing the seller (dealer in France) they basically admitted that the insert wasn't an original Rolex piece.
The tone of voice between the first and the following messages changed quite drastically.

If you'd like to provide a service to the forum membership in exchange for the information provided, please name the dealer. At the very least, post a link to the listing so the people reading the thread know.

I found it. The insert is listed as aftermarket. Has box and papers.

Think an easier way to spot the fake inserts is the position of the dots in between the numbers, on the fakes they’re much closer to the Crystal than the originals which are higher up.

I honestly wasn't sure whether it was allowed to "name" dealers.
As you stated: it seems they have updated the listing... they may be roaming these fora themselves?
