G10 strap scrapes

Hi, I have purchased a TSS G10 strap.
http://www.watchworx.co.uk/pages/lwb/NatoG10.htm
I have noticed that after only a couple of days wear that the strap has very slightly scratched the underside of the watch where it has been rubbing. Has anyone else noticed this? My watch is only 1 year old from new so I was slightly annoyed by this! My remedy is to put a film protector that you get on new mobile phone screens and cut out to suit the back of the watch. I know this might sound a bit over the top but this was all I could come up with to stop it getting any worse. saddo or what ! I have ordered the cape cod and the Bergeon 5444-A Fine Abrasive Block for the scratches. I am going to use my rolex precision 1989 (bought as my first rolex watch) as my demo for using these to see how it goes but i am thinking just leave it just now as the watch is relatively new and dont want to make it worse!!!!
My grandparents had mathcing ladies/gents rolex watches and also my dad has a rolex oyseter datejust so I had set myself a target to get one by age 25 which I did (rolex oysterdate precision) - just to keep the tradition going - lol. I bought the submariner last year (im 37 now) and have been well chuffed with it. The new G10 bracelet is great - it is very comfortable and i can wear it without having to worry about scraping the s/s bracelet.

thanks, Jon

I got hold of some very thin felt and glued it to the strap where it came in contact with the case of the watch. that solved the problem

Thanks, good one. did you polish out the minor scrapes? I have done some research on this site (very informative) and dont want to just go at it with the cleaning/poloshing block in case it makers things worse?
Thanks J
