Horus straps

Horus straps do some funky patterns/colours for the ROO's.

Anyone purchased and if so what's the quality like?

They look great online but in real life look really cheap. Bought one for my 335 and was really disappointed. Got the blue camouflage one and now it's collecting dust.

I'd say pass and stick to OEM straps. Just my 0.02

I bought the 'snow camo' however it's actually shades of grey & black so it actually looks really dull irl. Also, the carriage to the UK was about $50 which I (incorrectly) took to include import duty as it's only tiny however I then got slapped with a further import bill that from memory was around £35.

The rubber doesn't feel the same quality as AP either.

All in all with Horus you will pay more with Horus than for an AP strap and the quality is not as good.

What are the OEM rubber colours for the 42 & 44mm ROO's?

Contrary to some members here I find Horus is more comfortable. More likely because it is not as thick and sturdy as the OEM strap

So in your case lower quality was a better thing?

Maybe try to own one instead of bashing a product you never try. Never said I like lower quality product, just state I FEEL them more comfortable than OEM. How does thinner and less sturdy relate to lower quality ?? Don't need thick strap when your arms are sweating from the weather in my country.

I made a review about a Horus strap but for Panerai. I assume the quality of their Panerai strap should be similar to their AP one.

Had one on my platinum GP but gone back to standard. Too thin to support the weight of a pt 44. IMHO of course.

I find the Horus straps a bit forced in their look but then again, I'm more of a traditionalist with straps. The Horus quality and fit are excellent. I'd like the keepers (loops) a bit tighter out of the box and if on a heavy watch, the soft rubber won't stay close all the way around your wrist and the watch ends up feeling like it moves around too much. That being said, I had them on 2 different watches and took them off after a few weeks. I don't know the difference in materials between Horus and AP's own rubber but I prefer AP in terms of feel and better keepers size. YMMV.

just to add as well, a buddy of mine sent his horus strap down to me, and when I received it, i was frankly quite disappointed in them. Yes they are a bit softer than OEM AP ROO diver rubber, but it feels more like silicone more than real rubber, especially the way they attract dirt

Horus straps are too expensive for what they offer actually.. i bought a couple until i bumpted into a European brand called Tempomat Madrid. they are making really good straps and accesories and their prices are very competitive. Hope it helps!

Tried it, and went back to OEM. The camo colors are cool but the strap feels cheap, made of silicone opposed to the vulcanized rubber that OEM straps are made of.
