MB&F is one of the most innovative watchmakers out there. Not all of their designs are for me, but the Legacy Machine line is incredible. I love the Star Trek inspiration.
Yes, if you want to talk about ugly, take a look at the Hublot Bitcoin edition or the RM Halloween Candy Corn edition. Not sure which one is worse. |

the RM is worse when you factor in how much you have to spend to get such an ugly watch and i really, really, really dont like Hublot so thats saying something when that is the better option

Now while we are on the subject of ugly, ultra-expensive but horogically significant timepiece, this one takes the cake.

Interesting attempt at a sports watch. Just not sure who the target market is.

I would not personaly get one, but it will be interesting to see how these will fare in the market. While I love the brand, I am not a big fan of the sport line or the elegante.

MB&F is one of those brands I do appreciate in terms of artistic/creative prowess, but I dont see myself purchasing and wearing one. Iguess LM would be the only one for me, but there are quite a few pieces on my list before I get there :)

Someone point Journe to this thread and then hit him upside the head as punishment for creating this horror. Hopefully, that would knock some sense into him and he goes back to his regularly scheduled programming.

So, having seen them in person the Octa Sport is actually kind of cool. It's far better that the original version. Unfortunately these things just keep getting bigger.

I love it! It’s unusual and bold. Not all watches need to follow rules and sit politely under a cuff of a shirt. Thumbs up here

The best thread title I have seen in a long time, it made me laugh. Yes, that thing is horrendous.

Not compelling to me. Too large and boisterous for my taste.

That is what you buy when you have plenty of money (and watches) and occasionally want to throw on a yellow face timepiece and go to the beach or something

Well it can be interesting to see what sometimes comes out of the minds of watchmakers.

This haphazard effort by Journe to make a sportwatch is so uninspired it makes the Lange Odysseus feel like a downright achievement. To put a spin on the old saying in this dynamic where every brand is rushing to put out a „me too Nautilus“: if you don’t have anything nice to release, don’t release anything.

The Centigraphe Sport is everything you want in a sports watch, and much of what others don’t have. A chronograph, nice thing to have on a sports watch right? What else might you want a sports watch to be? Light, comfortable on the wrist maybe. OK, how’s ~70 grams for you. Light enough to not bother you working out. And make it Ti so that it doesn’t ding and show marks like those SS “sports” watch wannabes. (As you’ll see further up in the tread on seeing the new yellow dials in person I was pleasantly surprised. They work, very well. It’s a cool combination (subjective opinion of course). I should also say that after several years of not understanding the Centigraphe Sport I did eventually buy the first gen Ti CTS. And I wear it working out sometimes). |
