Interesting, I would have made the beast reincarnated with a clear case back and ceramic pushers. A great nod to days of old but no one would prefer those pushers. And make it out of titanium as the beast was extremely heavy. The other two, I don’t like so much. Different I guess.

aww i wish they made more of the original one. i'd get that, but 50 pieces only will surely drive the price sky high

That SS is really boring. Sure it's nice to be retro, but that's it??? No upgrades to the pusher material, the case material, or a clear case back? It really looks like all they did was just take the old dial, stuck the new, fatter AP logo on it, and called it a day. However, I'm sure the prices will be sky high on this one, being an LE of 50. With the ROO having such a cult following, I'm really surprised the LE number is that small.

And those tourbillons - awful. Looks very Concord and Hublot-esque. Maybe I'll like it more if I see it in person, but that design just looks way too messy.

I was excited until I saw that the beast will be reissued as a LE of 50 watches. It will be cheaper to look for the original model in good condition.

The transformer watches look pretty cool.

Crap I would really like the beast remake but 50! Forget it lol Seems criminal to make so few. They should make it regular production but limited just like the 15202ST.

yes. I like that one but at 50 pieces its a pass for me. I wouldn't even try. The only AP's i even want are ones that I can't get, at least with Patek (minus the 5711) everything they produce is actually obtainable.

Im kind of AP limited editioned out. Summer Edition, ROC SE, 15202 (not officially a LE but might as well be), 15407 is the same, 42mm Pt ROO, Frosted Gold RO, Ceramic PC. Its getting a bit like Omega where everything is a LE.

Anniversary models with such a departure from the Genta DNA? IMO they're awful judging from these renderings thankfully they are limited to 50.

The re-issue of the original is nice, though they are available on the pre owned market (I suppose a spike may be on the horizon in the short term, or at least the asking price!).
The new issues are simply awful, to me YMMV. A shame, this feels like a missed opportunity.

The only good thing is new pushers on these two Roger Audubois 42mm models... they can be fitted on future 42mm with normal octagonal bezel...

This was my thought as well. Completely changing the look and feel for the heritage of the GG design for a 25th anniversary...

Hopefully they don't pick up tanking in value retention like YouBlows do

I actually thought they are worse than Hublot. And that's a compliment to Hublot.

To my surprise I rather like the rose gold version and I particularly like the skeletonised bezel style. I like the pusher style also. Mind you if its only an edition of 50 I think the consequent inflated price would be beyond what I'd be comfortable to pay.

Believe they wanted them to be provocative, AP does that well. I didn't like them at first (LE versions) but now the more I look the more I understand the appeal...In any case judging from first reactions they will spark a lot of discussion (and hate) which was probably the idea...

When I saw these early this morning I thought these renderings must be a joke mock up, are they actually official AP models?

I agree. I just don't think an anniversary model is the best place to do that. Im more upset about the nice looking one also being a 50 piece LE as i would probably get that one. I would kill for a ROO with a Petite Tapisserie dial. The others, like many other watches, I just wouldn't buy and that would be that. Its the "anniversary" thing that gets me.

That's it, they look like Concord C1s only with knives. I shall call it Blade Runner.

7 day power reserve is impressive but probably necessary, after all who would want to wear that more than once a week?

Hope they have some other releases planned for the 25th anniversary, as this is a pretty bad.

I thought they had their new in-house Chronograph movement ready and waiting? Surely the re-issue would have been the ideal watch to use it in?

Wow I’m surprised to read the negative opinions on the 44.

It looks like a progression of the bezel and pushers to probably what’s to be the evolution of the ROO’s.

oh no... now they are 44's. Thats 2mm more of weirdness to look at.

Im sure the opinion won't change, only because its so limited (and the price) no one will have one except maybe our resident tourbillon guy, and all we get are press pics if he doesnt get it. Otherwise people might come around. I agree though that the pushers are very cool looking.

What really confuses me is Roger knows what is up and is "excited" about this years releases but can't talk about it. This can't be what he is excited about. There has to be more... I hope.
