What's with the sudden price hikes for the Hulk?
Here in Asia (Singapore and HK in particular), I've seen a massive spike in pricing for used/pre-owned Hulks. Any reasonable/credible reasons for this?

Tulip mania as a result of the rumour that it'll be discontinued.
I bought into the current mania hook, line and sinker. However, the Hulk strangely has always been a (kind of) rare piece in Canada, ADs had waitlists for it for quite a while, even last year there was a 1+ year waitlist. |

Are prices rising similarly on the blnr or black subc? If not then it is particular to LVc for some reason.

I still see Hulk's regularly at ADs in the Houston area. I never see the Batman however.

Any price movement is as simple as Supply vs. Demand.

It’s going on everywhere with the LVc. No one knows for sure other than the popularity is insane for the watch. The watch “experts” on their YouTube channel have singled it out as only going up in popularity and demand. Our main trusted forum sellers have had a shortage since mid summer. Their prices are also up if they even get one. If anyone actually had access to a new LVc at msrp, they would be wise to purchase it and could easily flip it for a profit if they didn’t like it.
The trusted sellers below have pre owned LVc selling at or higher than new msrp. That trend isn’t going to change any time soon. Rolex is due for a accross the board price increase so even at a inflated price, its prices are not going down regardless. DavidSW shows them with a higher price and out of stock. https://davidsw.com/product/rolex-116610lv-submariner/ Tony has one pre owned at 96% selling at a premium. http://www.sdwatches.com/product/rol...er-watch-hulk/ Takuya has one pre owned also selling at a premium. http://www.takuyawatches.com/product...ty-full-set-7/

All Hype, (except here in the UK where there is an extreme supply issue with almost every SS piece).
Rumors are always rife but never based on any reliable source.... |

I bought mine mid-July w/no awareness of its popularity. Only 2nd time I've ever seen it - I just fell in love with it. Spoke w/AD 2 weeks ago and comments were: (1) Definately hang onto that one; it's a special one. (2) Rolex is tight lipped about sales, but their speculation was, less than 10% of Hulk's received @ store vs. all black Subs. FWIW.

Does a slight price mark-up even matter if you want one and you find one in stock?? I guess you factor in what your time is worth and how much of a luxury purchase you value. Todays inflated price is tomorrow's msrp.

It is likely a TRF Hulk created phenomenon, one winner and 249 losers who saw themselves winning and wearing it creates world wide pent up demand:)

Agree with those saying Hype... They are fairly tough to get right now, but much easier than something like a 116500.
