registering a PP
I am thinking about purchasing a used Patek watch that was made in 2014. Can the watch be registered in my name with Patek and taken out of the original owners name. I know the warranty isn't still good but if its ever stolen it could be traced back to me the new owner.

Yes, I've got a 2017 5167a which I purchased in 2021 and when I took it to Patek for a service a couple of months back I asked the question and they said yeah can do it online, so I did.

Just curious, will the previous owner gets blacklisted when the new owner register the watch?

I thought only new watches from ADs could be registered. When you register they ask for the AD name you bought the watch from. No reason to register a used watch in my view and maybe upset the applecart for the original owner with Patek and his AD.
