Other than that, hard to tell. The BLUE dial can appear different shades depending on the angle from which the picture has been taken.

Cheers - JJ
Thanks mate, shall certainly be trying one on soon. I did try on an Explorer 2 white dial the other day, and despite being a fabulous looking thing, I just could not handle how much lighter it was than say the subs. The quest goes on

Hi there!

Hi there!

This is my first message on this great website. I really like your informative review JJ.

Last week I traded-in some of my watches I didn't use and put some money on-top and bought one of these beautiful Rolex Submariner blue dial TT watches. I have wanted this watch for a very long time, I would say that this is the best watch I have ever owned and consider myself very lucky.

I am drawn to this watch, as I consider its design to be classic yet contemporary, handsome, the weight, size and thickness of the case are just right, the bracelet is strong and feels great on the wrist, the colour combination is awsome, the curves and lines are crisp, the movement is a workhorse - tool watch, and in my opinion I would say it comes close to perfection for me.

I have attached a few photos of my new Blue Sub.

Hope you all have a great day!

Regards

I'm a bit confused.... I have a 2000 tt blue sub and love it as well!!

My question: I keep hearing ( reading ) about the Maxi dials ( or was it bezels?). Does anyone have any comparison shots of the Maxi next to a non-maxi??

I love the TT Sub, but I think that I prefer the black face model.

soooo... if I am correct...the Maxi dial just refers to the larger size dots and markers on the dial.......or is there something else??

I believe you are referring to the "ROLEXROLEXROLEX..." engraving on the rehaut. I saw one the other day, they already have. It'll probably be a while for all the ones without the engraving to be sold, so finding either style will still be possible.

JJ,

Great review

I agonised this week over a Bluesy or a TT GMT II.

Eventually I went for the GMT, but I definitely want to get the TT Blue Sub next time - it's an extraordinarily classic watch

Neil.
