Any advantage to buying in Tokyo price wise? I travel there on business occasionally but last time I checked I don't remember a significant price benefit.

Depends on the model, but discount stores with AD status, like Bic Camera, often offer around 20% off certain models (GS and regular Seiko) with another 5% off if you use a Visa card. You also get sales tax deducted at point of sale. Plus there's way more choice in Japan. Prices can be similarly low in Hong Kong, where discounts are often offered by ADs and there is no sales tax.
