Trade a AP RO 15407 double balance for a Patek Nautilus 5990 steel black dial

Hello guys,
I like for many times Nautilus 5990 because fit better my hand that other models because it’s a little ticker.
One of my friend propose me a exchange with my AP double balance.
What you say about this exchange?

they're so different. one is daily and one is more special.

The problem is you wouldn't be able to likely to reverse the arrangement without taking a hit somewhere

if you don't have any nautilus i would think you'd get fomo. The 15407 is a more special piece but it quite flashy. You'd desire it in the context of a collection if you're passionate of that type of work.

I wouldn't. The 15407 is special.

I’d question that friendship. Zero chance I’d do this.

I don’t think I’d follow through with it. Both watches are awesome but that AP is one of the best out there.

I mean - 5990 is my fav nautilus

So really comes down to what you love

Patek gives you very useful complications

They are both wonderful - which one do you love ?

I would stick to the AP and add the Nautilus down the line, either from AD or grey.

I agree with just about everyone here, that AP is so special. Add the Nautilus down the line, but don't ever get rid of that AP. It's a work of art.

I would definitely go ahead with the trade; the 5990 wears and looks much better imho. In the beginning the AP costed less than the PP; Im not sure what is their current value. Most importantly is the condition they need to be almost the same.

I have both, and never have I ever had to decide between them when choosing what to wear. Night and day. So actually, to that end, pick which one you’d wear more.

I would not do this trade.
There are inherently more Patek 5990 in the wild than AP double balance and the latter would be so hard to get again unless you really don’t like anymore or have fallen out of love with it.

15407 is a special timepiece, as much as I love the Nautilus no way i'd trade that AP for it.
