I have been loving the BB58.

Did not like the larger black bays but this one is perfect.

I agree with this so long as they don’t start producing subs and oysterdates again.

I don’t see the purpose of a Tudor sub or other Rolex clone, aside from a less expensive alternative to Rolex, which of course was the original business model of Tudor.

Tudor is good enough brand to stand on its own. I may be in the minority, but a Tudor sub does nothing for me.

Professional models aside, the other Tudor offerings don’t interest me.

Big fan of vintage Tudors with their Subs, etc. Modern wise I like certain BB models (58, GMT, Bucherer Blue Bronze), but don't really enjoy any of the others. They've been innovative with design on BB yet not so much on anything else. Added LEs, colors, reissue on others. It seems like that going the Rolex route yet trying the Omega (and other larger brands) format at the same time.

Perhaps if a new Tudor Sub comes along (in a similar case size as the vintage), then I'll be hooked.

In my books, I rather spend the extra few thousand dollars and buy a Sub or GMT vs. a BB or GMT when deciding between Rolex or Tudor. It's the classic same same but different. More same than different for me.... thus I might as well buy a Rolex... hahaha.

Love Tudor watches minus the snowflake hour hand. I do own a 76200 Date+Day.

I might be the only one to say this on the forum but I do not
Like any Tudor’s. I would never ever buy one. I would rather have a bare wrist than a Tudor that is how I feel about them.

I like the modern Tudor professional models.

I don’t think Tudor would do it’s brand any favors by releasing a Sub or other Rolex clone. It would certainly be successful, but it would perpetuate the poor man’s Rolex perception.

Tudor is a fine watch in its own right and should continue to create its own designs. The nonprofessional watches need some work, however.

And for the record, I love the snowflake hands.

Lovely watch. I was looking at a few vintage Tudors on eBay last week. Might put a cheeky offer in on one and cross my fingers.

Sadly, these are fairly common thoughts on the brand. They can be easily overcome by buying a Rolex first, that way you can be comfortable in knowing that you can afford a Rolex, and can tell others that you own one but chose a Tudor for something other than financial constraints.

I suspect many here would be surprised by how many people on this forum own both.

They make excellent sport watches, but I haven’t really loved any of their dressier models. My biggest hope for Basel would be for Tudor to launch some kind of dress/casual 3 hand watch with date and a nice dial. I think Grand Seiko just owns the sub $6K market at the moment.

It really is a great watch and still pretty affordable, especially when compared to a Zenith Daytona. Mine isn't actually a Big Block though. It's the model that immediately followed the Big Blocks. Very similar look, but it has a different shaped case.

I'm a fan of the Black Bay line and have the ETA version in black. A great watch with several vintage design elements. Indeed it can wear a bit thick and the 58 might be more suitable for some. I never really paid much attention to the Tudor line a dozen years ago and they seemed like a bit of an oddity until the Black Bay came along. I like the snow flake hand which is part of it's heritage. You can see how some of the Rolex DNA is shared in the build. It can be your one and only or a great complement to your Rolex collection. Cheers!

I've always called those "pre-Tiger". I like the Big Blocks a lot. However they are in no way comparable to a Daytona of any vintage.

Big fan! Really enjoyed my Black Bay, but moved it to make room for another Rolex. My Pelagos is a very frequently worn, and very much enjoyed! Great look, great movement, great power reserve, great value

I'd argue it's very comparable to a Zenith Daytona. The Daytona is definitely the more important, historic and collectible watch, but side by side they feature very similar construction and neither have a Rolex movement. The movement is the only thing that the 792x0 really can't be compared to in regards to the 16520 though.

Really hope they release a new one at Basel with same specs/dimensions as BB58 but in blue or black without gold accents.

I VJ7750 is no way comparable to the Zenith EP based movement in the Daytona.

I own both of these watches. This isn't a fanciful opinion.
