New Rubber B for SS Sky-D

Lots of acronyms in that title. Link below:

https://rubberb.com/en/rolex-watch-b...eid=0fa989eeab

I think the Navy/Blue is particularly sharp. Is it odd that these make me want to buy a Sky Dweller even more?

To be honest I don't see any difference using it on a SkyD than any other model. I have their Patek strap & is superb. I think I have 3 of their Rolex ones I can't recall. The 2 colors seem fun so why not

Looks good to me. Sky Dwellers are not dainty watches, and the rubber straps play to their more sporty, puck-ish side.

Doesn't seem to be available yet on a tang buckle, though. It's nice to be able to leave the clasp on the bracelet to be able to switch back and forth more easily.

Yeah, I could definitely see either of the black options with my black SS-SD.

Definitely ups the sportiness of the piece.

I think Rubber B typically does this with relatively top-heavy watches, which I would consider the Sky Dweller. Looks great either way, but I agree that I prefer a tang buckle for rubber (with the exception of the Aquanaut clasp).

I think tang buckle closure would take away from the elegance of this particular timepiece. The SkyDweller is a brilliant mix of Sport/Elegance. The deployant closing serves well in my opinion.

How do you account for adjusting the 6 oclock strap side, to make sure clasp is centered, as only the 12 oclock side has cut aways for adjustment?

Rubber and fluted bezel does not work for me.

Thank you for pointing this out! You're right in that some wrists will not be center. Both sides being ajustable and a Tang Buckle would be awesome!

Agree 100%

I LOVE rubber straps on sporty watches. Moreso than most.

But aesthetically, this is doing nothing for me. The fluted bezel and the lugs combined with the rubber strap is just a huge mismatch imo. This is one model that pretty much has to be on a bracelet.

In fact, I view the DD, DJ and Sky-D as perfect all-arounders, but that also means I think they look BY FAR their best on a bracelet. Each is too formal to be on rubber or NATO, but also the case and lugs aren't formal enough to look good on leather.
