Incoming (tomorrow)!

My new AD came through in a huge way for me today. Got the call that a BLNR was in stock with my name on it! No purchase history with them at all, just a couple visits and some good banter. A couple of my latest additions have come from Trusted Sellers on this site, and the transactions have been wonderful. But I must say, it feels good to get back to getting a call after waiting a bit and paying MSRP. I am giddy.

All I am on the list for anymore is a Pepsi and a Daytona, and that wait may take awhile, but I can remember the joy I had at getting that call today to keep me company while I wait. Plus, I need to save money anyway. Actually praying nothing comes out at Basel I can't live without. Heh.

No pics yet, since pickup is tomorrow, so I'll just thrown down all of his brothers. I need a new watch case. Badly.

Thanks guys. Still missing the Daytona that has eluded me for 3 years, but I love them all that I have managed to find. A couple of them I have paid over MSRP for, but never more than 1500 bucks or so. I just can't justify paying 7, 8, 9 thousand or whatever over MSRP for a Daytona. Maybe one day this new AD will come through for me on the list. That day will be magic. Perhaps it will be even more meaningful if I have chased the watch for 5 years by that point.

All right, is the BLNR coming from the AD you connected with on your road trip?

Congratulations on your success.

I guess this puts to bed the disco rumour if they are making them in 2019

I have a Wolf Roadster 4 watch winder. I also have some brand of winder I don't even know (it was around 350 bucks for a two watch). The Tudor GMT was on the winder as that picture was taken, and I took the Explorer off the winder for the photo. I usually keep three in rotation - one on the wrist and two on the winder as I am switching out all the time. The rest stay in the safe until I haul one or two out to replace current winder watches and go into the rotation.

In short, I do use winders, and the safe. There are folks here with MUCH more expensive collections than me, but I would feel weird with 65-70K in watches sitting out. My neighborhood is safe, but still....

Hey Zook! Yes, so glad you remembered! Yep, it was my road trip AD from several weeks ago. Worked out great for me! I sent them a photo of me buying the Tudor in Saudi Arabia, called a time or two over 5 weeks, and the trip to see them, and viola, BLNR! I am super pumped. I feel like there is actually a chance for a long relationship with these guys. Super great folks.

Yeah, they said they just received it today. Called me straight away. So they are still getting them at least.

And thanks to everyone else for the kind words. I love these damn watches. Total addiction.
