AD's "safe cleaning" Week?

Is this the week all the AD's clear out some space in their safes, to make room for all the new stock that's about to be released?

I think they've been "safe cleaning" since the virus outbreak. This week is no different. But I have to wonder: What are they trying to move? Any stock they have at this point are the less desired models.

Nah, I think the safes are still hiding some of the best references, just waiting to see the light of day!

Why would they. They just move the more desirable watches to the side and add the new models in. They should be in the AD's this week for the release on the first.

I do think some have lowered the bar for which they might dangle a BLNR out to close a deal. Overheard a sales manager mention the staff who was about to try and close on a TT date just with diamonds what watches could be offered in conjunction which I assume they had stashed away in the back.

They have enough empty spaces already!

You're gonna need a bigger safe.

They've been doing it for weeks already. Hence all the "omg I have no history but just got a sub!!1" posts.

+1 for clearing out old stock. I took a shot in the dark and inquired at my AD for a SubC for a friend that hadn't had any luck in months and she had one there are then - we are very surprised to say the least!

Now we just have to hope it's not a new blue-dial sub being released on Sept. 1st haha

I doubt the watches will be in AD's possession for at least a few months. If recent Basel releases is any indication, the UK seems to get them first...about 4-6 weeks after they are released. Then things trickle out to the rest of the world in the following few months. So unless Rolex is changing their normal distribution pattern, US AD's won't see anything til late November at best.
