No, leave it. Earlier said than done, I get that. I’m working hard towards that mentality.

You don't touch that. Period.

If you can't handle that light of a mark...I think you need watches in display cases just to look at. Moment you polish that watch 1). It'll never be the same as original case 2). You'll most likely pick up other marks.

Yep, def. leave it. this watch is defined by the shape of the case, don’t alter that. The risk of having the angles soften on another watch are bad enough, but on a watch that lives and dies with its angles, nothing to be gained from having anyone short of the factory itself touch it.

Also the grain of the brushing is very particular on that case. The chance of finding someone who can replicate that properly are slim. And if it’s done with too gross a grain, it’ll be apparent to anyone who knows the piece well enough.

Leave it. It probably won't be the only scratch on your watch.

Nope. I have a ding on my lug there and it was annoying. It took 2 weeks but I'm ok now. The issue for me wouldn't be that they would alter the case shape as much as they would have to rebrush that whole lug and it wouldn't be as nice as factory AND it would have to get near the high polish bevel and would end up over scratching into that polish edge.

Ideally not but if it bothers you then yes of course get it polished, leave it a couple of weeks and see if you still feel the same.

Polish? No. I'm pretty sure it's Swiss.

No.

When I got a brushed link of a Nautilus bracelet polished by a Patek Service Center it showed vs the rest. They explained that the outcome depends ever so slightly on the state of wear of the polishing materials. So any partial polish would probably look a lot worse.

Just a touch up on a brushed surface is not a polish and very easy to do

I'm not against proper polishing at all, but that isn't sufficient justification IMHO. Further, if you are getting that sort of watch cosmetically refinished, that isn't exactly the type of watch you want to have an amateur just taking a crack at...if you think that tiny mark bothers you, then improper polishing would probably drive you to sell the watch.

Alternatively, you could try to manually touch up the brushing yourself, but I would not recommend it unless you have done this on cheaper watches and you are personally satisfied with how it turns out.

I would not as other scratches and marks will come. When it is time for a service let VC do it.

Polishing it would also decrease the value of the watch in my eyes. I wouldn't do it.
