Anyone here buy a watch from European Watch Company

I have a modest collection compared to most on the Patek site. I have contemplated selling a couple of rolexes to fund a preowned Patek or Lange. One of my favorite sellers to peruse is EWC. Anyone have experience with them? How do they consistently offer so many limited production watches?

They’ve been great when I have dealt with them. No issues at all

I bought a patek from them in the past. No problems. The only thing I am gonna say is that I have noticed on some of their watches is that they list them as mint, and when you zoom in the pic they are more like very good condition but not mint. Didn’t happen with the watch I bought with them though.

I think their prices are a little too high, about 10% higher than others I follow. I also agree with Jorge about how they represent all of their watches as “like new” condition.

As for their selection, I think some are watches they accepted on trade or may be on consignment from some of their more frequent customers. I would not recommend trading a watch toward a purchase. A few months back I was going to trade a mint 2020 5712 towards a 3970-they offered me a whopping $46k.

Having said all of that, they are very trustworthy and will work with you if you’re not happy with your purchase.

Good luck with your purchase.

Their listed prices are high and their offer prices are abit on the low side. However if you make a serious offer and negotiate you can definitely get a better deal. 2 examples;

1) 15202st about 1.5 years ago listed at $36.5k. I ended up paying $31k which is about 15% less.

2) Earlier this year in May a FPJ Chronometre Bleu. Listed at $45k and ended up paying high $30s - again around 15% lower than ask.

Not saying every experience is the same, but doesn't hurt to ask, and not get easily offended.

Was negotiating a 5970p back in March I think: very good guy the owner and honest. They as well offered a nice discount ended up not buying it but still good experience

They are fantastic to work with. They negotiate on price, stand behind their products, and won't stop until you are satisfied. I have had numerous transactions with them over many years and I recommend them fully.
