Sadly, if my lady liked bigger ones she would have to leave me.
Well, it's all relative. That's why I married a gal that is only 5' 1" tall! Smaller framed gals are confidence builders! ;) |

I am very thankful to have found this forum! I bought my 31mm ladies datejust a week ago and have been wondering if it is too big. I am 66 years old. After reading all your replies, I am convinced that I bought the right size. I love the stainless with rose gold! Mine has a black face and roman numerals, no diamonds.

My wife is 5'3" 105lbs and she wears a 26, 34, and 36mm. I don't think you can go wrong with any size. Her next one will likely be 31mm.

Im going through same issue. I ended upsetting 31mm mainly be it looks like her already large Michael Kors watch. That helped bc why go down in size when she already wears large watches. That is what I recommend looking to see what size watches she already wears. This forum has helped me tremendously. I just ordered this as a wedding gift for here. I can't wait till it arrives.

Great choice! Very elegant & feminine, love the TT & diamond markers! 31mm is perfect for that model/style I think.
I'm a woman and I bought my first Rolex last month, the Milgauss GV. 40mm looks perfect to me & if I ever decide it's too big (doubtful!) I can give it to one of my sons or flip it, but for now I love rocking the big watch! |

Thank you!
Hello - new to the forum and this is my very first post! Sorry to ressurect an ancient thread, but I wanted everyone to know that all of your comments assisted me greatly in choosing the size of the first Rolex. I actually had purchased a 26mm DJ and after reading this thread, I cancelled the order and got a 31mm instead. My main concern was that I work for a very, very conservative company and was afraid anything larger than a 26mm might be too ostentatious. I am a 44 year old professional, 5'8, 140 lbs, with 6.2" wrists. But after seeing the photos and reading your thoughts, I see that 31 is really the new 26. It is arriving tomorrow morning and I am so excited! Will post a photo of it on my wrist after I receive it. Thanks!!

At 5'7 a 31mm will look fine in your wife. 26 is still more elegant but that might be a little boring for her.
Anything over 31 is silly for a woman IMO. It goes from classy to Klassy lol |

As some have said, let her try it on.
My wife has a 26mm that she has had for years. I was recently in the market for a 31mm for her and glad I had her try them on as she ended up with a 36mm. Secret to 42 years together is I accept women are different than men. Rely on what men tell you and you will never be right. |

Old thread for certain; advice already given years ago. Since the OP's original questions are well out dated, I'd say get her involved in the decision making.

26 = too small
31 = minimum 36 or 40 = great size for men or women Jim
