Rolex Daytona TT

Hey guys hope you are well!! Recently purchased a Rolex Daytona TT. Was initially looking for the Daytona C however due to the waiting lists ended up with the TT (though I do feel that pre ceramic that TT is lovely looking watch prefer it over the SS Pre Ceramic Daytona)

Was wondering what this watch is like on resale (not that i am planning on selling however it will be nice to know if my money is rather safe) ? I baby all of watches so condition so no worries on condition. Purchased for £12,400 new.

Mandatory wrist shot

Thanks!!

Beautiful watch! Love the TT Daytona, have one myself. They definitely don't hold value as well as SS, especially if you bought new from an AD. If you're keeping it, no worries anyway

I also have the TT Daytona 116503 which replaced the TT Daytona 116523 in 2016. It has the classic White Dial with Gold Sub Dials. I wouldn't mind what they say about the S/S model here if I had a choice it would be the TT over the S/S Model anytime

If you sold it tomorrow to the trade, I would guess you'd get about £8K for it. As you said, it's a keeper, you'll always have a good few K in it if needs be.

Long term all Daytona appreciate in value.....

TT will be the slowest in appreciation.....

Example of the TT Daytona 5 digit reference

In 1994 you could buy a brand new....

TT Daytona for retail @ $7,000

In today market, same year preowned for a ok to mint condition......

TT 16523 Daytona around $9,000 to $11,000 with box & paper...

A TT 16523 cost almost the same or for 1k more you could get a preowned 6 digit reference 116523....

Main thing is that you like it, that all it matter.....

Just had a look at the white gold one on the rolex website and honestly the dial pops out due to the diamonds. I dont get WG watches how about swapping it for a SS one ?

The YG gmt with the green dial is a looker aswell :p

SS's are so "normal" and the YW's grab too much attention in my opinion. WG's are for a non trained eye just a SS version and i have a good investment :-)

I bought mine three and a half years ago for 6900K EUR (full set with mahogany box, outer box, tags, papers, booklets in English and Italian, calendar and holder, polishing cloth, bezel protector and so on), I suspect I will probably fetch more right now if I decided to part ways with it.
