Stunning pics mate and you know what I totally agree on the special place in the collection. I’ve only had mine a few weeks but I’m totally blown away with it. Also agree on not something you see everyday. I live in central London and it’s a Rolex-palooza but the YM hasn’t passed me by many times at all

Count me in. The YM is a truly wonderful piece, more comfortable than all my other 3, and the blue dial is just stunning. None of the others have come out of the safe since I got it, that has never happened before

Anybody have a 116622 v 126622 side by side to share ?

Love to see the caze differences which although clearly slight are noticeable if you look closely. The rounded case is ever so slightly more tapered and lug width and distance has changed.

I was unaware of any aesthetic differences. The upgraded YM40s were not listed as new models for 2019, suggesting the only difference is the movement (and the corresponding coronet on the dial). What is the source of your information?

They're different shapes to the naked eye.

Well, other than the crown at 6pm now showing on the dial of the 126622 my untrained eye cannot see any visual difference between the watches.

If there are differences could someone be kind enough to help my ageing eyesight out and tell me what they are please.

You may be right that there are no differences between those two watches on DavidSW. I was basing it on new and old Rolex marketing images from their website. David SW may be lazy with his pics and not necessarily take new pictures of identical watches every time.

Any chance you could post the Rolex images showing the differences please, I am planning to add one to my collection next year so details of where Rolex made changes would be very welcome. Thanks.

The pictures I posted are clearly of the 126622 and the 116622. There's a very easy way to tell, and if you can't spot it, that speaks volumes about both your powers of observation, and your knowledge of these models. (Hint: I and another member have already mentioned it in previous posts.)

Rolex marketing images are usually digital renderings and aren't even photographs of the actual watches. Real photographs provide much more reliable evidence of any changes that may or may not have occurred. If your "naked eye" observations are based on website renderings, then they are anything but. Based on the evidence available, I'm content to conclude there have been no changes to the YM40 cases with the movement upgrade.

The pics I posted show pretty clearly there have been no changes. The only thing Wrist King has provided is a real-time example of how false web-forum rumors are created.
