I spent ages looking but couldn't see any difference, which is great as the watch is just superb as it is.

Please keep posting the pictures of this great watch, I can then keep slobbering over them until I can pick my YM40 up in the new year.

Love the Yachty. Its rich history - Rumour has it the it was originally intended to replace the Submariner in 1990 because the Sub just wasn't poncy enough. With a reduction in Water Resistance from 300m to 100m, polished instead of brushed finishes and precious metal instead of filthy steel because being a poncy Sub means not going too deep in the water, being used as a tool or any such unpleasantness the Yacht-Master is the upper class Rolex diver.

We are at a misunderstanding, my friend. I understand the differences in teh two and can see that, yes, the dials are different in the two models. What I am saying is that just MAYBE DavidSW doesn't bother taking fresh pictures of the side and back of each of the watches he is selling, because they are all basically alike.

Rolex marketing images are usually digital renderings and aren't even photographs of the actual watches. Real photographs provide much more reliable evidence of any changes that may or may not have occurred. If your "naked eye" observations are based on website renderings, then they are anything but. Based on the evidence available, I'm content to conclude there have been no changes to the YM40 cases with the movement upgrade.

Do you have any evidence in support of that? The reason for taking pictures of each watch sold on the site is so the prospective online buyer can inspect the condition of the specific watch under consideration. DavidSW doesn't sell new-stock watches. They are all pre-owned (even if unworn), and the condition of each watch is specifically listed; therefore pictures unique to each watch need to be shown. Showing pictures that aren't of the actual watch is dishonest, and potentially illegal. Saying "maybe" DavidSW engages in that practice, for no better reason than the thought occurred to you, is both irresponsible and unfair.

The real kicker here is that you are speculating on the dishonesty (or, at a minimum, the sloppiness) of one of the top aftermarket dealers in our community in order to dismiss evidence that disproves a theory you seem to have concocted out of thin air, and for which you are unable to provide any actual evidence - which is that the 126622 and 116622 have different case designs. If you have anything of substance to offer, be my guest. Otherwise, perhaps you should quit while you're behind.

I’m fairly sure David takes actual pictures of each watch.

From the pictures you posted, I can say with absolute certainty that those are two different watches.

To make sure I understand, you believe that the prior and current models are the same except for the movement?

Correct. I've seen no evidence of any changes to the case or bracelet design of the 126622 compared to 116622. The only visual signifier of the movement upgrade that I can see is the coronet on the dial at 6:00, present on the 126, but not the 116.

Well now we have established there are no changes bar the movement, dial and serial number we can move on. Cheers all great forum.

I reckon grey sellers holding 116622 are going to need to start discounting.
