If all goes well tomorrow, I be buying the 40mm blue dial one tomorrow. I can’t decided if I want another blue dial one or not. Need to see it in person.

Official Yacht master owners club?

Slow moving club...

Here's my story:
I've owned many different Rolex watches and have sold most of them. For me the standard Rolex professionals are too large if they're the current generation and not up to my expectations if they're of the five digit persuasion. It really doesn't leave me a lot of watches to choose from for sporty watches. I'm not such a fan of Day Dates having owned two of them. Date Justs aren't very good at value retention either. The other OPs, Millegaus, and Air-Kings don't hold too much attraction. Pretty much that leaves my current collection of Daytona and now A Yachtmaster. There was some wear on the bezel which will get repair per Aamir who I bought mine from. Below are some photos.

Much thanks!!! It's funny how I found myself thinking about a 14060/16610 but I just didn't want a five digit model with the lighter made bracelet. I like the Yacht Master!!!

I have a 14060M that is very special to me, having found an unworn piece for a significant birthday.
In recent months I purchased a 126622, blue dial, and it is just perfect for my requirements.
The case size and shape suits my wrist, and the bracelet is very comfortable. The dial is enchanting as the colors change in various lighting conditions.
Your rhodium dial also looks great with those beautiful blue hands.

My wife has a RG TT YM. So she’s a member. She wants me to geta gents version. But there’s a lot more watches i prefer more. I even prefer the YMII to the YM.

Been really fascinated with the YMII. But told myself will only get one if i have a yacht. So that’s essentially saying never.

Kudos to the members of the club.

Slim form fitting case + platinum bezel + subtle splash of color makes the Ym1 so special yet so underrated.

Congrats to the new owners! I think it's a great watch and often overlooked.

I had a 14060 for years and it's a fine watch but having something with a date on it is nice especially as my other two Rolex are Daytonas. Also I really like the machined clasp with the easy link. Something that the 14060 and 16610 don't have.

Wow, I hadn't looked at it that way. Maybe I'll rethink having it freshened up and save Aamir some cost and effort. Thanks for the input. Curious as to what others think about this.

I just used some Vareat on the bezel and it seems to have gotten rid of some of the staining which made it look too dark and stained for me. I'm getting more inclined to keep it the way it is. Thanks!!!

I've got a 16622, but am hoping to acquire a 126622 (new) Rhodium very soon, so you're bridging the gap I've got with that 116622 there. I think you made the right choice vs. the blue, and even by holding off a while back on the 16622 Platinum dial (if you're going to have one, at least, since I'm clearly not practicing what I preach!).

My platinum dial doesn't have quite as much wear on the bezel, though I can certainly see getting there someday...what's the plan on yours? Definitely think it adds some character like other posters have said, but I'd probably be in the same camp as you, so curious to see what route you take on it, as I might be there someday. Great looking watch, but when you've already got the Platona in the rotation it's hard to add much that really zings!

Well, after using the Varaet on the bezel, the coloration is significantly lighter the way platinum deserves to be. I'm all for patina but during this time of transitable pandemic virus, having someone else's skin oils on a surface I routinely touch isn't what I want. Other than that the minor polishing on the edge of the bezel is OK and going to stay so I'm not returning the watch to Aamir for correction.
