Please help me choose from these 3 42mm submersibls.
1. pam 683 - new 2019 release, scratch proof ceramic bezel, richemont group movement, $9350
2. pam 973 - new 2019 release, richemont group movement, $8500 3. pam 682 - 2018 release, inhouse p9010 movement, $8400 i like the look of the 973 because the double blue printing look sharp, but the movement is not inhouse even its is also 3 days power reserve. any ideas? |

682.
If ceramic insert, go 47 (either 389 or 1389). |

682 for sure
I think the pams with non in house movt aren’t as interesting as the ones with P9010,especially that the Richemont movt doesn’t offer any extra (no longer PR or something like that) |

yes, its difficult to choose. it would be a no brainer if the 683 keep using the p9010 movement.

definitely 682. better movement (and jumping hour setting), still says luminor on the dial (critical IMO), and a ceramic bezel just doesn’t look right on a submersible.

Love my 682 and prefer it to the 973 because of the movement. But the 683 looks sweet...

I like the 682. I know so many brands are high on the ceramic bezel, but I like the classic simplicity of the metal bezel on Submersibles. It also just looks better to my eye. Gives the watch a more "industrial" look.

thanks for all the comments. seems like you guys prefers the 682 with the in house movement. i just find out there is another 42mm submersible released in sihh 2019, the pam 960. i like the carbotech material which is very unique and light weight. but with a quite steep price tag of $16800, almost double of the steel submersibles. any comment on this one?

For that price the 960 does not have the 9010 movement.
Another vote for 682. If you decide to go up to 47mm, check out the 692. It is an absolute beauty in person. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I tried on the 683 in a boutique the other day. they told me even they can't explain why panerai changed the movement, so I guess it's a way of cost cutting on the submersible line. it's a shame! but ive been waiting to add a carbotech submersible into my collection, such a unique piece. the previous ones are in 47mm, which are way too big for my 6.75 inch wrist.

The 682 is a cool watch and can be had in the pre-owned market for 30-40% off retail. That is where you should be price wise for any of the Panerai models. I just got a 1389 and enjoy the 47 mm case but I have a 7.5-7.75 inch wrist. Several of our Trusted Sellers have the 682 listed pre-owned for sale. Check it out.
