Victorinox Dive Master 500 LE

Just picked up one of these babies, brand spankin' new at an AD. its the 2007 Limited Edition release of the Dive Master 500 Titanium, mechanical (automatic) movement, with a black (not gun metal) PVD finish. What a beauty!!! Release was limited to 900 pieces.........getting rather hard to find!!! Down below was the original, official press release.

Victorinox Swiss Army - Dive Master 500 (LE)

The Dive Master 500 Limited Edition features a tough yet lightweight titanium case and bracelet treated with a special black PVD finish. A screw-down crown and screw-in mineral crystal exhibition caseback provide the utmost protection against water and humidity while the new ETA 2896 11 ½’’’ mechanical self-winding calibre bring accuracy and performance with a power reserve exceeding 42 hours. It withstands dives to 500 meters (1650 feet) and features a helium valve to evacuate any overpressure of the gas accumulated in the watchcase.

The character and functionality of the original Dive Master collection is carried through to this collector’s edition: Luminous hands, a punctuated dot second hand and oversized markers are combined with a large date calendar for superior legibility. Scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a unidirectional bezel—with luminous markings—frame a commanding dial design in anthracite.

Built to perfection with function and form, durable engineering and streamlined sophistication, only 900 of the Dive Master 500 Limited Edition series will be issued worldwide. Each will have an individually engraved, numbered case and will be packaged in a special collector’s box with a certificate of authenticity.

MSRP is/was $1395.........got it for $1,000 The AD had gotten it in the day before.....how you ask since this was a 2007 limited release???? Well, apparently another dealer somewhere went out of business and returned the watch to Victorinox or the distributor. My AD must have had an old backorder for the watch and they filled the order with the return. Brand new, all protective stickers still on......warranty dated as of yesterday. The only Dive Master 500 to come with a 5 year warranty.
