Incoming/water resistance question

TGIF. Incoming 1st pam--a 111, on the way, arriving Monday :)

It's pretty minty-looking, but it's from 2006. I'll be the 4th owner. The 2nd owner purchased it pre-owned from Torneau in 2019. No service records--paper or anecdotal.

Question--if the watch is running fine, as is advertised by the person who sold it to me, I should get it pressure tested before swimming with it, correct?

Anyone know a good place to get this done in NYC? Is this usually done while u wait?

Can’t help you with a place in NYC, but yes, it should be able to be done while you wait.

I last had this done - oddly enough at a Tourneau, specifically the one in San Francisco - for an Omega that I bought used a couple years back. Took less than 10 minutes, and they steadfastly refused my offer of payment for the service. YMMV, of course.

Any decent store can pressure test while you wait. Since Tour sold it at one time, maybe they'll do it gratis.

Congratulations and yeah pressure test before jumping to water is advisable. Any reputable watch repair shop shall be able to do basic test.
