I think that’s not realistic for the majority of us who want a particular model in a reasonable time frame.
Pepsi, Daytona, etc? Sure

A black sub? This is attainable at most all ADs outside LA/NYC etc within months. Don’t know what you guys are on about saying this is some multi years long wait.

Not saying this is specific to the no date sub but I doubt you’ll be getting one at MSRP in the near future the way supply, demand, and pricing have been over the last few years

The demand is real. I live in a smaller market. I got the bluesy, getting the 124060 soon, but AD said if someone had no history, not much of a chance anytime soon. Even through connections won’t get until late 2021. Never seen anything like it. They make more black subs, but the demand is huge.

The non date is almost the same demand as the date this time. I think it is because Rolex led their marketing efforts with 124060.

Maybe in your region, but in the South East U.S. (or any other place I've visited) there hasn't been a sub in the display cases for years!

I'm not saying I'd pay 15G for a black sub, just saying you gotta pay to play for most.

Maybe for an 114060 though!

Hell no. It's just not worth that, it's barely worth the msrp when compared to an Omega Seamaster 300m, but it is what it is in the Rolex world.
As such I don't need this for survival or to stay warm at night, I'll just conform to line up in cue and wait my turn.
And if not, whatever, Panerai and IWC have some nice watches that will equally make me happy.

Retail is the only way to win. The sense of accomplishment is more satisfying. Don’t rush if it is for you then it’s for you. Do the practical and smarter way. Win Win is the best way.
