New Pannie shipment has arrived...

I got the call ( not first on the list) but I will be heading the the AD later today.
Hopefully will have a new addition ( and of course pics) to follow tomorrow.
Unfortunately the wife got the call, so she knows about my trip.
Oh well, then, my daughter finds out, so I think there might be 3 new additions
At least my dtr's tastes are reasonable, she likes "funky" over quality, ( ie easier on my wallet)

Oh yeah baby!! Speaking of Pannies, I know a guy who traded both of his for two different ones, what a nutjob. But I am sure he will post pics later tonight.

No chance for pictures yet.
By the time I got down there, the selection was limited.
They still had the 24 ( Ti submersible , just didn't do it for me), a 90 ( Luminor Power Reserve) was nice, but for me the dial was a bit cluttered ( with date, PR, and all the minute markers), a 189 ( special edition at $27,000) I think NOT. A couple bases and the one that yelled "take me home" was the 104 ( Luminor Auto on an Alligator strap)
This one got the unanimous vote from my family also.
Not quite what Daren managed to find, But I am truly happy.

Menat to also ask you how you like the deployant? It is a beauty on that black croc my man, same combo I have on the 162.

Did you ask for a strap in lieu of a discount? You should have tried if not, you are a great customer to them.

Getting used to the deployant strap.
It seems backwards to me, I keep wanting to click the wrong side first.
I'm sure ,as with your two, pictures don't do it justice. The numbers & markers are outstanding .

LOL! I took me a spell to get used to also.

I do like it though, even though I have already switched to something a bit more casual.

I am going to switch to the buckle also, I like it a bit better.
That was my freebie, One buckle, woo hoo. When they sell them all in 2 days, not much room for moving. However, they might have moved on that 2004 SE at $27,000. But it's only a 40mm and it doesn't look any better, IMO
Question. Can I put the buckle on my strap that is meant for the Deployant system? or do I need a diff strap too? I don't have the spare buckle yet, but it looks like the side of the strap where this would connect to is a bit longer, which would put the buckle off centre. I know the other side of the strap is also thinner.
I might keep the deployant on this one ( 104 ) as it does dress it up a bit, use the spare for the 113. That will be my "fun" watch to mess around with diff straps.

John, I'm no panny expert but I think the straps for deployment are different than the straps for the tange buckle. Daren will correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember reading on some panny forum that they were not compatible.

You can use them, but I wouldn't recommend it mate. The strap is thinner and it will tend to crease the strap a little worse. But you can use it if you want.

If you want a great strap guy in Canada I can point you too him. A few guys here have used him and he is top notch and on the inexpensive side as far as straps go.

That would be Don who I think is in the Kitchener/Guelph (ontario) area. His site is:

http://www.homestead.com/rlx/DON6.html

Great guy, great products and prices and he offers excellent service.

I was actually talking about SteveToronto, he is a member here but posts mainly on TZOP and Panereh. He is just a great dude and his customer service is out of this world.

Don't get me wrong, Don Ginsler is a stud as well, but Steve has really come through for me with shipping and getting what I was looking for. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Panerai strap.

No, but you can look him and his ads up on Paneristi and Panereh. The guy really is a class act, despite my preconcieved notions about people from north of the border.

He can also be reached at cochiseis@rogers.com

Give him my name, he might give you a deal, or then again he might not sell to you.
